About the Owner
Rose Ann Kramer, owner of Sheep’s in the Meadow, is an established felt maker and fiber artist who lives in Southeastern Pennsylvania. She combines ancient techniques and Scandinavian styles of felt making to create one of a kind wearable art. She is able to control every aspect of her designs using fiber from her own flock of sheep and exotic fibers obtained worldwide.
Rose Ann has a technical degree in Chemical Engineering and worked in the
pharmaceutical industry for many years before pursuing her real passion of textile design. Since then, she has studied under some of the world's master felters and fiber artists.
She is a member of the North American Felters
Network, Goshenhoppen Historians, Peter Wentz Farmstead, Mid Atlantic Fiber Association, and the
Morning Fiber Guild.
Ms. Kramer has been featured in the Philadelphia Inquirer, Montgomery County Living Magazine and a book written by Susan Sheehan and Howard Means focusing on people and their passions.
She conducts "Sheep's in the Meadow" workshops teaching both spinning and felting in several venues. Custom work is available upon request.
